Terms of Use and Platform Rules

1. Introduction
These Terms of Use and Platform Rules govern your access to and use of the AHABONA platform. By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
2. Who We Are
AHABONA is operated by [Operator name and legal entity to be completed]. The Platform is a visibility and discovery service that allows individuals to present their skills and services so that others may find and contact them.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to register and use the Platform. You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. You may maintain only one personal account.
4. Role of AHABONA
AHABONA is a visibility and discovery platform. It is not: an employer, recruitment agency, staffing company, job board, payment processor, or escrow service.
5. User-Provided Information
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information. AHABONA does not independently verify the information users provide. Your National Identification Number, if provided, is never displayed publicly and is accessible only to the operator, to authorized moderators, and to law enforcement when legally required.
6. Skills, Services, and Qualifications
AHABONA does not guarantee any user's skills, qualifications, licences, reliability, availability, or quality of work.
7. Communications and Dealings Between Users
All calls, messages, meetings, payments, and agreements are strictly between users. AHABONA is not a party to any such transaction.
8. User Conduct
You agree not to: impersonate any person or entity; post false, misleading, or defamatory information; harass, threaten, or abuse other users; use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access; circumvent security or moderation measures.
9. Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited: sexual content, prostitution, or solicitation of sexual services; promotion of violence, murder, assault, or threats; illegal drugs or controlled substances; fraud and deceptive schemes; hate speech; child exploitation; any content or activity that violates Rwandan law.
Violations will result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of the account without prior notice, and may be reported to law enforcement.
10. Contact and External Services
Phone numbers, WhatsApp numbers, and social media links you provide may be visible to other users. External services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
11. User Content
You are solely responsible for all content you upload. You confirm that you have the right to use all content you upload, and that it does not infringe upon any third party's rights.
12. Platform Visibility and Discovery
AHABONA aims to give all profiles fair exposure. Discovery order is not an endorsement of any user and does not represent a ranking of personal worth. Being listed on the Platform does not guarantee visibility, contact, or work.
13. Safety and Verification
You should independently verify the identity, qualifications, licences, and references of any person you engage. Do not pay in advance. Meet in public places.
14. Privacy and Data Protection
Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection, storage, and processing of your data as described therein. The operator complies with applicable Rwandan data protection laws.
15. Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. You are responsible for all activity occurring under your account.
16. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Violations may result in a graduated response: Strike 1 — Formal warning; Strike 2 — One-month suspension; Strike 3 — Six-month suspension; Strike 4 — Permanent termination. Strikes may expire after six (6) months of compliant behaviour, except Strike 4, which is permanent.
17. Account Deletion
If you delete your account, your profile is hidden immediately. The account may be recovered within six (6) months by logging in again. After six months, your account, profile, photographs, and all related data are permanently deleted.
18. No Guarantee of Outcomes
AHABONA does not guarantee that your profile will be viewed, that you will be contacted, or that you will obtain any work, income, or agreement through the Platform.
19. Limitation of AHABONA's Role
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AHABONA is not responsible for the conduct of users, whether on or off the Platform, or for any dealings between users.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AHABONA, its operators, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Platform.
21. Intellectual Property
The AHABONA name, logo, design, and all Platform content (excluding user content) are the property of the operator.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
23. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Rwanda.
